Ongoing Strategies with Yemen

In 2006, CGS began an ongoing commitment to build bridges with Yemen by leading two major economic conferences in the capital city of Sanaa and the port city of Aden.  More than 800 Yemeni private and public sector leaders participated in these conferences.  Since holding these initial conferences, CGS has led a delegation of tourism leaders to present another conference and has hosted Yemeni leaders to South Carolina.

Just this month, CGS was able to partner with our friends to provide free eye surgeries for 200 Yemeni residents in need.  Jonathan Moreno and I were able to connect with a great Yemeni businessman and friend recently in Beirut.  Here is a video from this meeting:

Reflections from Hebron

This past week I visited Hebron. Hebron is also known as the “City of the Patriarchs” as it is where Christian, Jewish, and Muslim historians believe the Patriarachs (Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Rebecca, Jacob, and Leah) are buried.

Most Holy Land tours avoid Hebron due to consistent conflicts between Palestinians and Jewish Settlers. Check out my Biblical and political reflections from Hebron:
